Lisa works as an Italian Operations Administrator in Belfast

I was looking for a job abroad and luckily once I found the website of Globaljobbing on the internet. My contact person Jeroen Beks has been very helpful and kind with me, and thanks to him I could start this new adventure!

I was recruited for working as a customer care representative in August 2011 and at the beginning of September I went to Belfast to start my new experience! I actually didn’t know exactly what I had found in Belfast and working for my new company , I was excited because I knew it was a multicultural company with young employees from all over the world.

Since the first moment I set a foot in the company I felt at home! Everyone was friendly, colleagues, managers, recruiters and people I met from the staff. My teamwork was composed of 6 Italians and 6 Spanish, guys from 25 to 38 years old and we started the training  all together having the chance to get to know each other and to learn that new job! It consisted in handling emails from Italians and English customers. We could help and support each other still learning the new role. After a probationary period of 3 months I was confirmed and signed for a permanent job!

At the same time I was discovering Belfast: a very nice and cosy city with very friendly and lovely people. I could go to work by foot with my colleagues, who were becoming friends and having a beer in one of the typical pub of Belfast…I was enjoying the city! Also night club, discos and parties!

I think one of the most important thing was the teamwork and all of the wonderful guys I’ve met…we are still very good friends and they have been my family in Belfast! If I’d go back to last year I’d choose again this experience and this city, I’d advice everyone Belfast cause it’s a unique opportunity!
